There’s no better way to enjoy the 2014 Winter Olympics than with all of your friends at the RV park. And whether you’re in a cold-weather climate or not, there are tons of ways you can decorate your RV and plan the perfect Winter Olympics party to get everyone excited about the 2014 Games.
Decorate Your RV
Show your patriotic pride with red, white, and blue streamers, American flag decorations, or even a homemade version of the Olympic rings (pool noodles work great). Decorate the walls with sports posters and buy some balloons to represent your favorite countries. If you don’t have time to make your own decorations, sites like Etsy and Oriental Trading offer tons of fun items you can have shipped directly to the campground.
Serve Olympic Treats
Show your Olympic spirit by offering snacks that represent the country you’re supporting or the Olympic Games as a whole. Make miniature edible torches for the kids out of buttered popcorn and cake cones. Pour the buttered popcorn into the ice cream cones until they are slightly overflowing, and everyone will admire these tasty and creative treats.
If you’re planning a party for adults, don’t forget to feature drinks that will be suitable for the Olympic games in Sochi, Russia. Try serving White Russians or even Russian Martinis as an alternative to your usual party drinks.
Hold Your Own Games
It’s not an Olympic party if you don’t get all of your guests involved in some games too. Hold an Olympic trivia contest or even an indoor winter Olympics snowball contest using balled-up socks instead of snowballs. Whatever contests you hold, make sure you have medals (available on Etsy) to award the winners.
