Looking for a reason to fire up your RV and go on an adventure? Don’t let the cold air keep you inside this January, because there are tons of festivals and events happening around our beautiful state of Ohio.
Mohican Winterfest
Don’t miss one of the best events of the month — the Loudonville Winterfest. Enjoy carriage rides through the snow, a winter hike and a number of events right in the town’s Central Park. This event, held on Jan. 10 and 11, features some of the best ice carvers in the country demonstrating their creative and speed carving skills.
Hocking Hills Winter Hike
Cold winter weather can make you want to stay cooped up indoors, but Ohioans know how to get out and enjoy it. Join in on the annual Winter Hike at Hocking Hills on Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. This free event draws over 5,000 hikers each year to Old Man’s Cave Visitor Center where the hike begins. Take part in the family-friendly hike or just show up for the fun activities before and after the event.
IceFest
If you didn’t make it to the Mohican Winterfest, embrace the beauty of winter at the semi-annual IceFest in Hamilton on Jan. 15. It’s a fun event for the whole family featuring jaw-dropping ice sculptures, tons of activities and plenty of hot chocolate to warm you up after a day in the cold. Watch as ice sculptors from near and far come to create their best ice artistry yet.
