Downtown Lancaster Annual Tree Lighting
The Lancaster Parks and Recreation Department and the Join Destination Downtown Lancaster will be holding the Downtown Lancaster Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014. The Singing Gales of Lancaster will be performing and there will be free hot chocolate and cookies. Get there earlier in the day to check out some of Lancaster’s shopping and traditions – or to attend the Winter Carnival.
Downtown Lancaster Winter Carnival
Bring the kids to visit Santa at his new house on Main Street, take a free horse drawn carriage ride, visit the craft market, participate in the 90.9 cookie bake-off and just enjoy a ton of activities from noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 in downtown Lancaster. Activities will include ornament making, cookie decorating, children’s crafts and more. And, look for the elf in participating businesses. When you see the elf, get your “passport” stamped to be eligible for the drawing. The more stamps, the more entries you have.
Also, stop by the Chamber of Commerce to enjoy the Tour of Trees – 18 artificial trees decorated by groups, organizations and businesses. The trees are donated to a family that needs holiday cheer.
