Great Family Activities in Your RV
While family RV travel is certainly full of exploration, adventures and plenty of fun, there’s always some down time or even those dreaded rainy days. When it comes to time spent inside your RV, after a long day on the road or out exploring, it’s good to have some activity ideas and supplies in mind, so you never face that dreaded phrase, “I’m bored.”
Puzzle and Game Nights
With smartphones, TVs and video games, we often forget about old fashioned board games and puzzles, but they can be a great way to bring the family together and enjoy each other’s company. Keep a handful of board games or puzzles stocked in your RV at all times — variety is important, so you don’t grow tired of a particular game and resort back to television, smartphones and other screens.
Cook and Extravagant Meal
While cooking in your small RV kitchen may seem like a chore at times, it can be made a lot easier with the help of your fellow campers. Use down time in your RV to cook an exciting meal that everyone in your family can play a part in making. Get kids involved in the easier parts of cooking (stirring, mixing, etc.), while you take care of the more technical parts, and always make sure you’re cooking a meal that everyone can get excited about eating.
Plan Your Next Adventure
There’s nothing better to do on rainy days than plan future family adventures. Whether you’re making plans for a future destination or simply planning which playground to visit the next sunny day, everyone will have fun anticipating those activities, and you’ll actually save time when it comes to following through with those plans.
